What is Elder Law?

Elder Law is a common name for the legal practice which includes helping older people with estate planning, wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives for health care, tax planning, retirement benefit planning, planning for Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, VA, and other government benefits, making arrangements for care on a long term or temporary basis, dealing with guardianship or conservator ships for incapacitated persons, and taking precautions against financial, emotional, and physical elder abuse.

In order to better serve our clients, Morgan & DiSalvo limits its elder law practice to estate planning and related matters. However, we know attorneys in the Atlanta area who can assist with the other areas of elder law, and we are happy to make referrals as needed. Contact us, let us know your situation, and we can tell you whether we can help or refer you to someone else who can.
