“The Absent Superpower: The Shale Revolution and a World Without America” by Peter Zeihan

For those that read our previously recommended book by Peter Zeihan, “The Accidental Superpower,” you already know that Zeihan uses logic, science (such as geography and demographics), and history to enable us to see and understand the likely future. After reading his first book a few years ago, I was not shocked when China started to have economic issues after being on top of the world for a time or when Russia started to get more aggressive. I understood the otherwise baffling official visit that Obama had made to Myanmar (formally Burma) and (this is big) how America became much more inward thinking and more isolationist and protectionist (leading to our election of Trump as our next President). Even Zeihan was shocked at how short a time it took for this to happen, as he predicted it would take five to 20 years. In reality, it took only about three years to see major changes.

Zeihan has now written a follow up book called, “The Absent Superpower: The Shale Revolution and a World Without America.” To understand his current thinking on where America and the world are heading so you, too, will not be surprised by what happens in the coming years, you should first read Zeihan’s most recent Blogs here: http://us11.campaign-archive1.com/?u=de2bc41f8324e6955ef65e0c9&id=2dc3375537&e=513c504f07 and http://us11.campaign-archive1.com/?u=de2bc41f8324e6955ef65e0c9&id=0dd4d1a055&e=513c504f07. You should then read his new book which will be coming out within the next week or two.

Happy holidays!
